#GivingTuesday & Mother's Day

Without giving COVID-19 more airtime, it is safe to say that nothing is normal now, this includes the ways that we will be celebrating Mother’s Day this year. One thing inherent in motherhood (being on the receiving end of it) is giving. That’s why it felt natural to chime in this Giving Tuesday and encourage our listeners to consider doing as mothers do best and give back - to our communities both at home and beyond.

Giving Tuesday typically comes once a year, amidst the hubbub of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and the excess in consumer culture that has come along with it. Developed as an almost counter-culture, anti-consumerism response, the day has a mission of creating a movement of generosity, “unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” In light of COVID-19 and the devastation it has unleashed across the globe, the organization has decided to take action and launch #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5, 2020.

So starting today and throughout the week, we hope you feel inspired to give to an organization that speaks to you. Here are a handful both in the United States and Internationally, that we have had the privilege of working with and whose mission, vision, commitment to their beneficiaries is making a real and lasting impact.
